The voice. The music. The connection.

Wayne “Slim” Reid.

DJ, broadcaster and voiceover artist. Toronto roots. A lifelong love of R&B.

Wayne “Slim” Reid brings a broadcaster’s ear, a DJ’s feel for the room and a storyteller’s love of connection to everything he does.

His commercial radio career began in Toronto in 1990. From producing shows and working on-air shifts to his time at Flow 93.5 and Vancouver’s The Beat 94.5, music and personality have always been at the centre of his work. In 2001, he received the UMAC award for Best Radio Personality.

Today, that experience lives on through DJ sets, voiceover work, mixes and a personal R&B album collection. Slim Jams is his dedicated corner for slow jams—a home for songs that deserve another listen.

Why Slim Jams?

Some songs belong to a particular person, place or moment. Slim Jams makes room for all of them: the quiet-storm classic, the forgotten album cut and the new voice that stops you in your tracks.

Visit Slim Jams, spend some time with a mix and find something worth sharing. Wayne is your host; the connection you make with the music is your own.

About the music collection.

Slim Jams brings together selected slow jams and mellow favourites plus a wider R&B archive. The archive includes uptempo tracks and alternate versions. It is a substantial collection, not a complete discography or a verified “world’s largest” database.

Recording details and artwork come from Apple’s Canadian music catalogue, retrieved on 29 September 2026. Each song links back to its source. Catalogue dates can describe a reissue or compilation rather than the original release; moods are editorial listening suggestions.

Daily discoveries and games rotate from the launch catalogue. They are not live chart rankings or newly published news. The site links to listening services and embeds the supplied YouTube and Mixcloud programmes; it does not host full-song audio downloads.
